Senile Donald Trump no longer appears to understand that he’s “Donald Trump” when he sees his name on the teleprompter
As part of his worsening senility, Donald Trump keeps losing track of who various people are. He seems to think that Obama and Biden are the same person. He thinks Nancy Pelosi and Nikki Haley are the same person. He doesn’t appear to remember anything about his son Barron, except that he’s tall. Now it appears Trump no longer knows who “Donald Trump” is. Seriously.
Donald Trump saw his own name on his teleprompter on Friday and proceeded to read that name as if it were some other person, not appearing to understand that he’s Donald Trump:

You could perhaps write this off as a mere moment of distraction, if not for the fact that it keeps happening. Just weeks ago Trump did this same exact thing, where he saw his own name on the teleprompter and appeared to think that “Donald Trump” was some other person.
If you’ve watched someone go through the stages of dementia, you know that one of the most disturbing aspects is when the person starts losing track of people and their identities. They can’t remember how many kids they have. They hear the name of someone close to them and can’t remember who that is. The various people in their life start to merge together in their shrinking mind. And now Donald Trump is at a point where he often doesn’t remember that he’s the “Donald Trump” he keeps hearing about. That’s scary.
