This morning Republican Senators Rand Paul and Marco Rubio appeared on Sunday morning talk shows and proceeded to embarrass themselves. Paul is still trying to suggest the election was somehow rigged. Rubio is admitting Trump is guilty, but arguing against impeachment for idiotic reasons.
Fortunately, Mary Trump had something to say about all of this on Twitter: “To anybody interviewing congressional republicans: first ask them if, in one word, they accept the results of the 2020 election. If they say anything other than yes, cut their mics and end the interview. Better yet, find out ahead of time and don’t have them on at all.”
This is correct. Anyone who’s still pretending Trump won the 2020 election shouldn’t be allowed on the air, no matter what position they might hold in government. This kind of policy would keep jackals like Rand Paul off the air entirely until they stop promoting deranged conspiracy theories about the election.
