Here comes the Friday night news dump

It’s the finally Friday night of Donald Trump’s failed and imploding presidency, so we’ve been wondering if a Friday night news dump would emerge. Sure enough, it now appears to be starting to happen.

First came the resignation of Trump’s HHS Secretary Alex Azar, who has the dual distinction of being covered in Trump’s stink and playing a key role in botching the pandemic. GSA Administrator Emily Murphy, who previously tried to hold up the Biden transition (remember her?), has also reportedly resigned tonight. It’s still only 10:30pm eastern time, so we’ll see if this is the start of something bigger as the night goes on.
