Donald Trump can’t catch a break, just lost yet another court ruling tonight

The thing about a scheduled trial date is that as you get closer to it, it becomes more locked in. Stall tactics, delay tactics, and frivolous filings tend to get laughed off in real time. Donald Trump just found that out again tonight.

Trump is now just a few days away from the start of his second civil trial against E. Jean Carroll, after she won the first trial to the tune of $5 million. Trump has spent all week making nonsense filings, but none of them have delayed anything. Now Trump has asked that the trial be delayed so he can attend his mother in law’s funeral service next week. The judge just denied that too.

The judge did seemingly leave the door open to potentially revisit the issue. But the initial denial, for what seems like a legitimate request for once, is a sign that this judge has already had it with Trump’s crap. That’s what happens when you make a bunch of nonsense filings to begin with.

What we keep seeing wrongly categorized as “delay tactics” on Trump’s part are actually nothing more than sheer desperation and self defeating stupidity. This trial hasn’t even begun yet, and Trump’s dumb filings have already annoyed the judge to the point that the judge is refusing to automatically give Trump time off for a funeral service. At this rate Trump is going to lose this trial before it even gets going – a now familiar recurring theme for him.
