The Associated Press and Fox News called Arizona for Joe Biden more than a week ago. But within the last few minutes CNN, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and MSNBC have just now called Arizona for Joe Biden. This is belated, but important.

Trump’s fantasy about magically overturning the election consisted of him somehow flipping Pennsylvania legislatively, somehow flipping Georgia in the recount, and winning Arizona. Now that Arizona is definitively off the table for him, he no longer has a path to 270 – not even in his own fantasy land.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that Donald Trump will give up just yet. He’s only been pretending to contest the election so he could continue fundraising and pocket the money. But now that Arizona is gone, he’ll have a much harder time selling that fantasy.
