House Democrat Dan Goldman puts Jim Jordan in his place during hearing

House Republican Jim Jordan has been trying out a new approach in which he whips up unhinged far right conspiracy theories and then claims they’re supported by secret whistleblowers whose identity he can’t reveal.

The thing is, there’s no evidence that any of Jordan’s “whistleblowers” actually exist. He’s correct in that he can’t just reveal a whistleblower’s identity. But there should at least be notes from the supposed interviews that he conducted with them.

Newly elected House Democrat Dan Goldman did a strong job of calling out Jim Jordan for this during a House hearing:

Dan Goldman is spot on. Jim Jordan is a serial liar who is almost surely lying about the nature and/or existence of this supposed whistleblower testimony, so no one should be taking Jordan at his word about any of this. Jordan could easily provide evidence to support this supposed whistleblower testimony without in any way compromising anyone’s identity. Jordan should be called out for this every day until he either provides some supporting evidence or admits that he made it all up.
