Donald Trump has spent his entire illegitimate presidency, and indeed his entire time in politics, disrespecting the United States and everything it stands for. This was, of course, after he committed treason by conspiring with a foreign enemy to rig the election. He’s since routinely accused others of “disrespecting the flag” and “disrespecting the military” whenever they protest against his disgustingly unpatriotic actions. But now he appears to have crossed a line that even he may not be able to justify.

On Monday, it was revealed that Trump never did call the families of the four U.S. soldiers who were killed in action back on October 4th. Since that time he’s played at least half a dozen rounds of golf instead. This alone disqualifies him from being Commander in Chief, and if the Republican Party had any character, it would have begun impeachment proceedings against him today based on this alone. When Trump was confronted about the matter by a reporter during a press conference, he responded by falsely claiming that President Obama didn’t call the families of fallen U.S. soldiers at all. When it was pointed out that Trump was lying, he backtracked and blamed his Generals.

This has set off a firestorm, because Trump has spent so much time talking about others respecting the military, while showing no respect for the military himself. Former Attorney General Eric Holder, normally soft spoken, ripped into Trump on Twitter. Holder tweeted “Stop the damn lying – you’re the President. I went to Dover AFB with 44 and saw him comfort the families of both the fallen military & DEA.” Holder included a photo of himself and President Obama saluting the bodies of fallen U.S. soldiers as they were returned to the United States.

Donald Trump has literally committed treason against the United States, and should be in prison awaiting trail, not in the White House destroying the nation. The question is whether this disgusting and wrenching incident might finally be enough to motivate the cowards in the Republican Party to remove this traitor from office.
