Donald Trump kicks off 2018 by creating two international incidents in one morning

Last night, Donald Trump rang in the new year by tweeting about his “enemies” and “haters.” It was his second consecutive New Year’s Eve spent rambling about his personal enemies, a reminder that he’s a sick individual who will never, ever be able to rise to the level of the office he’s illegitimately occupying. It was also a harbringer for what further depths Trump was planning to unleash on us in 2018. Sure enough, this morning he rolled out of bed in typically miserable fashion and promptly began wishing us all a crappy new year.

The Dotard began the morning by launching this weird and pointless attack: “The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools. They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!”

We all know the government of Pakistan is corrupt, but the whole point is that it can be bought off as needed. That’s not aid money. It’s how we occasionally get what we need from the regime. It sucks, but it works. Now Trump is suddenly trying to cause problems between us an Pakistan. Why? Probably as mere cover for his next tweet, aimed at his real target.

Trump went on to tweet “Iran is failing at every level despite the terrible deal made with them by the Obama Administration. The great Iranian people have been repressed for many years. They are hungry for food & for freedom. Along with human rights, the wealth of Iran is being looted. TIME FOR CHANGE!”

Trump desperately wants a destabilized Iran, both because he needs the distraction from his own scandals, and because his puppet masters in Saudi Arabia want their oil rival Iran to fall into disrepair. Trump isn’t rooting for the Iranian protesters. He’s trying to goad the Iranian government into murdering them, so he’ll have an excuse for his own further aggression. Crappy new year indeed.
