Capitol invaders caught name checking Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley in new video

Even as the domestic terrorists who attacked the U.S. Capitol continue to be hunted down and arrested, questions still remain about which if any political leaders will also end up going down for their roles in inciting the attack. That may end up hinging on the specific evidence that emerges.

If so, this isn’t good news for Ted Cruz or Josh Hawley. New video has emerged from the New Yorker, showing the invaders photographing sensitive documents inside the Capitol. One of the invaders says “Hawley, Cruz” and then the other says “I think Cruz would want us to do this, so I think we’re good.”

Watch the disturbing video clip here:

This provides proof that some of the Capitol invaders believed they had the blessing of Hawley and particularly Cruz to carry out their domestic terrorist attack, based on the manner in which the two Senators had incited them. This alone isn’t legal proof that Cruz and Hawley are guilty of incitement, but it’s certainly evidence in that direction – and it’ll look particularly bad for them in the court of public opinion.
