Trump may pardon himself sometime in the next three days. If he does, this is not something to panic about. It doesn’t mean he’s suddenly winning, or he’s going to get away with it all. His self-pardon will likely be overturned in court. Even if not, he’s facing state charges.

In fact, not only is New York State accelerating its criminal case against Donald Trump, Georgia officials are also said to be pursuing a criminal case against Trump as well. One way or another, Trump will end up in prison. The most that a self-pardon can do is perhaps slow down the inevitable a bit.
