Michael Cohen has spent the past week taking shots at Donald Trump in increasingly brazen fashion. First he had his friends spread the word to the media that he’s planning to cut a plea deal against Trump. Then he resigned from his RNC deputy chair position, citing his objection to Trump’s immigrant child camps as one of his reasons. Now someone else in the Cohen family is being a bit more direct about Trump.

Last night Tom Arnold tweeted a new photo of himself posing with a smiling Michael Cohen. Surely, Cohen knows that Arnold despises Trump and is plotting to take him down. So there’s no way Cohen would have posed for this photo unless he wanted Trump to know that he’s up to something. Arnold then relayed this exchange with Cohen to NBC News: “I say to Michael, ‘Guess what? We’re taking Trump down together, and he’s so tired he’s like, ‘OK,’ and his wife is like, ‘OK, f— Trump.'”

Tom Arnold has since clarified that he was not talking about any sort of formal partnership between him and Michael Cohen. But this nonetheless still tells us a lot. Cohen’s wife surely knows that Arnold has been working tirelessly to help take Donald Trump down. She wouldn’t have said something like this to a famous Trump detractor unless she was comfortable with it being out there. What this tells us is that Cohen’s wife really hates Trump, which means that she must be pushing him pretty hard to cut a plea deal.

This comes after reports from ABC News, NBC News, and CNN over the past week that Michael Cohen has been telling his family and friends that he either plans to cut a plea deal, or he’s leaning toward cutting a plea deal. It sounds like Mrs. Cohen has already made up her mind about how she wants it to go. Considering that these kinds of things often end up being family decisions, it seems all but inevitable.
