Trump world hits the panic button after Peter Navarro goes down

The GOP response to Peter Navarro being indicted and arrested is hilarious — and makes this writer think that some of these Republicans who are responding are indeed ready for the funny farm.

All around, conservatives are squawking in indignation. You’d think the world had stopped! Everywhere, familiar warped republicans and their pundits-in-waiting are taking to the television screens.

Stephen Miller was outraged, saying we (the democrats) are targeting “law-abiding Americans.” Really? Peter Navarro is law-abiding? This is something I did not know, and that is not true. Jesse Watters claims Democrats are turning a blind eye to “smash and grabs” while targeting Navarro. All over, the GOP response is the same.

Poor Peter. Poor little Peter. That is the battle cry of the GOP. In reality, this is hysterical in its dishonesty. But as you all know, telling the truth is not something Republicans like to do all that much.

In reality, Peter Navarro got everything that was coming to him and more. And this makes this writer glad. It makes me happy because Peter Navarro was out of control. He showed outright contempt for the rule of law, thumbed his nose at lady justice, and bragged about it.

Navarro was like a funnel cloud — rotating this way and out of control, filled with insane cumulus and spinning round and round while unable to control his word vomit. The DOJ gave the man chance after chance after chance. And Navarro, who seemed to fancy reality as one long “Catch me if you can,” has been caught. That is the rule of law. That is what the GOP claims to stand for.

And yet they cannot handle how the Department of Justice acted. So their true colors are spilling forth. And their true colors are this — the GOP never gave a damn about law and order, and now they’re showing us that yet again.
