This is slipping away from them

Republicans are worried about getting reelected because they have done nothing. They should be worried. All they have done is create chaos. When one of them tries to get something done by crossing the aisle, they get mad and want to get rid of them. It’s a shame they want to do nothing, and that’s why they don’t need to come back. Think of it like an employer. You hire a bunch of new employees, and they sit around and chit-chat instead of handling your business. Your company is losing money because you’re not getting your product or service out to the public. You have a choice: either let the do-nothings go or wait for bankruptcy. In a business, that choice would be clear. Who wants to let others take them down? That’s exactly what Republican House members are doing-nothing and taking all of us down with them. They know it, but they can’t find a way to fix it.

According to NBC News, when Andy Biggs gave an interview on Newsmax at the start of the new Congress, he said: “In my opinion, we have nothing to go out there and campaign on. It’s embarrassing.” There’s part of the problem right there. They go on these conservative “news” channels and fail to realize that they are merely appealing to the same people. They need to build their base, but they have no idea how because they are too far to the right for most people. Biggs was one of the main actors in trying to keep President Biden out of office. Now, he wants to whine about having nothing to run on. He’s as blind as he is dumb.

Republicans came into the current Congress with the majority, which has slowly been slipping away from their own doing. They have passed little legislation and have instead spent time trying, in vain, to find some reason to impeach President Joe Biden with a majority Democratic senate. Yet, these are the same people who refused to vote for impeachment against Trump when there were numerous reasons to do so. NBC called the current Congress a “historically unproductive congressional session.” They’re too busy fighting with each other and refusing to work with Democrats to pass anything. What a waste of time, money, and space.

Former interim speaker Patrick McHenry spoke the best truth for Republicans: “If we keep extending the pain and creating more suffering, we will pay the price at the ballot box. …But at this point, we are sucking wind because we can’t get past the main object in the road.” He believes that President Biden’s performance on the economy and national security would take him down if Republicans can get it together. They will have to lie about both. President Biden’s economy has performed wonderfully, and he’s trying to work on national security-but Republicans keep getting in the way. At least they admit they are to blame, but admitting it is one thing. Doing something about it is another. At this point, don’t expect them to do anything about it. They are clueless.
