The Republican collapse is upon us

Have you gotten tired of winning yet, people? Of course not! So we won in Kentucky, and we won in Ohio and we won in Virginia and we actually emerge from Virginia with more power than just a day ago as the Democrats successfully flipped The Virginia house of delegates, giving us even more power than we had before in Virginia.

This is a bitter night for Governor Glenn Youngkin, who had hoped for a trifecta, but now finds himself losing big time. There is a reason for all this winning. That’s what I want to talk about. Because Republicans just don’t get it. The truth is, it’s now a movement.

When political interest turns into a force greater than itself, when it metastasizes into a movement, then it becomes invincible. This is the stuff that movements are made of. This is more than just winning by a little. This is what every activist wants. And that is whatever cause, whatever passion they’re advocating for becomes a movement, a movement that takes on a life of its own.

That is exactly what has happened in the fight for reproductive control. I have news. It is not just women. It’s every race, every color and every gender and you can see it and you can feel it all over the place.

The reason Republicans can’t see it is because their overzealousness over controlling women’s bodies is now blocking their desire
to win elections.

Republicans aren’t just in it for politics anymore. They’re in it for hatred of anyone who is not like them. Hatred blinds people. It always blinds opponents. That is the reason that they can’t recognize the movement that is right in front of them. We’ve seen movements before through the decades.

Not every political issue turns into a movement. Not every politician generates a movement. But I think that the evidence is here. The evidence shows very clearly that what we have here isn’t just a little bit of passion.

It is a strong, unbreakable, sweeping, enormous movement — A movement against Maga, against extremism, against Republican misogyny. We see it, feel it and we must continue this wonderful movement of ours.
