Imagine my surprise to read from a decidedly conservative outlet-the Wall Street Journal-that President Biden has done a fantastic job with the economy. In fact, WSJ said that Biden “is winning.” It is nice to see a conservative outlet giving credit where credit is due. Faux News, of course, returned to the “it’s the economy, stupid” nonsense, but RawStory reported last week that saying can no longer be used because the economy is flourishing under Biden’s leadership.

Editor John Bussey presented the information to Faux News viewers on New Year’s Eve. Bussey shared this information because, as he pointed out, the economy will be an important issue in 2024. Bussey said: “President Biden is going to have a better and better story to tell as the year unfolds.” This is good news for President Biden. As more people begin paying attention to the numbers, they will have no choice but to admit that President Biden, overall, has done a great job. The economy is strong, inflation is down, and the job market is strong. He’s also managed to get some student loans forgiven. Yet, most of the naysayers are focused on his age. No, 81 is not a “spring chicken,” but it’s also not a death sentence, especially when you see him out riding his bike or walking with his wife. Hell, he’s in better shape than most of us. Most importantly, his brain functions just fine. If the only complaint people can find about President Biden is that he’s 81, then they’re merely suffering from ageism.

When you compare President Joe Biden to “president” Donald Trump, there is no comparison. We all know Trump’s bad deeds without listing them individually here, but suffice it to say that his “policies,” for lack of a better word, served no purpose other than to shred the economy. Yes, the pandemic had some impact on the economy, but Trump is the one who tried to pretend it didn’t exist and allowed it to run rampant. Had he taken control like a real president, it wouldn’t have gotten so out of hand. Trump didn’t do one thing to help people lift themselves out of poverty, get jobs, or succeed in life in any way. His focus was on helping his rich friends, himself, and his family members. Do we really want or need someone back in office like this? Not to mention the 91 felonies with which he is currently charged, and speculation is that he will soon face additional charges for his attempted interference in Michigan. He’s hateful, he’s racist, and he’s utterly useless.

President Biden has done nothing but improve life for us. A recession was predicted for 2023 that never happened. It is speculated that the Federal Reserve will soon cut rates, which will continue to boost the economy. The four-decades high inflation we suffered in 2022 has been cut, and consumer prices increased by only 3.1% after sitting at 9.1%. Gas prices are down and are expected to fall again in 2024. It’s another New Year. Let’s make the most of it by voting and making it a Blue Year.
