Sitting here, I am overwhelmed with gratitude to so many. I am so thankful that we ran extraordinary candidates like John Fetterman, who will be Pennsylvania’s new Senator. I am thankful for our wonderful candidates that did not win. Tim Ryan of Ohio, Cherie Beasley of North Carolina, Val Demings of Florida, and others — your time will come.

I am grateful to the voters who turned out — the youth vote, the women of America, the furious, the activists looking to keep America on its brilliant trajectory. And I’m grateful for Palmer Report readers.

You all need to take a bow. You dug in, phone banked, donated, and knocked on doors. It was terrific to see, and there is no doubt you made a massive contribution to why things turned out as they did.

And now we set sail for — what?? I say for tomorrow. We do not know all that awaits us, but we know a few things. In the coming weeks, we need to set sail to Georgia — metaphorically speaking. We need to put the same passion and tireless activity into saving Georgia and Senator Warnock’s seat. We can do it. We’ve proven that over and over and over again.

Undoubtedly there will be other struggles that come up. That’s politics for you. There are always new obstacles that glisten, trying to pull us back and tug us into the storm.

But over and over again, we’ve won. We can do it again and again. We can win Georgia if we all pitch in. We can do lots of things if we focus. And continue to row away from danger rather than into it. So thank you all, and let’s buckle up because we’ve got lots of work to do in the upcoming weeks.
