Earlier this week, Donald Trump, speaking before a small crowd in Iowa, claimed he was ready willing and oh so able to go to jail for the American people.

Trump was talking about the gag order that had been imposed upon him. And in usual Trump fashion he argued vehemently that it was unfair to him.

Trump appeared very tired which I understand. He is after all, suffering many sleepless nights as he chooses to forego sleep to listen to the voices of his inner grievances.

Trump also claimed his way ahead of President Biden in the polls, and that this is all being done by Joe Biden to silence him.

This is undoubtedly not true as you well know. When has Donald Trump in his miserable life ever made a statement that WAS true? I have tried to rise to the occasion and gamely find such a time but alas, I came up empty. That’s because Trump wouldn’t know the truth if it swooped down and stole his McDonald’s cheeseburger.

But what really is hysterical about all this is that Donald Trump is claiming he’s willing to go to jail for the American people!

Now the following is my opinion, and you may not agree, but what I think is happening is that Trump is coming to the realization that yes, indeed he will have to go to jail at some point.

And because he does not want to appear vulnerable or scared in front of people he’s now claiming that he’ll do it for the people! Go to jail for them!

I say, go ahead Donnie. The door is open or should I say the Cell door? I just think it’s his latest attempt to save face.

Saving face is very important to the orange horror. Donald Trump hates being publicly embarrassed. We saw that when former President Obama, embarrassed him so good on stage that Donnie never appeared to get over it. That was something to see.

So perhaps there is the first awareness in Trump’s Motley mind that he is at some point going to go to prison. And when that day comes, we’ll see.

We’ll then see if he still says he’s doing it for the people. We’ll see if he enters that cell with a big smiley face. Somehow I really do doubt it.
