As you may recall, brothers and sisters, on 9 November I wrote an article about “Lecterngate.” That’s was when Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the unsmiling, former propaganda minister for Donald Trump, who recently deceived the good people of Arkansas into making her governor, stole $19,000 of taxpayer money so she could party in Paris with her besties. In my 9 November article I wrote, “And I think that ‘Lecterngate’ is only the beginning of her scandals. We shall see.” Clearly, we didn’t have long to wait.

It turns out that another scandal was uncovered, as it was revealed recently that the perennially sour-faced and morally superior “Christian” Sanders wasted $13,000 of Arkansas taxpayers money throwing another party. I don’t know about you, but to look at Sarah Sanders you’d never guess she was a “party girl.” You really can’t judge a burned book by its cover.

Anyway, according to a shocking new report, Sourpuss Sarah spent those funds on a “kickoff party” to celebrate the beginning of the Arkansas Razorbacks’ 2023 football season earlier this year. She gave the party the perfectly humourless title the “Undefeated Party.” Rather like Donald Trump’s pitiful election results, the Razorbacks went on to have a dreadful season comprising 3 wins and 7 losses. “Undefeated” indeed.

The final tally for the gratuitous party came to $13,081.36 according to records from the Department of Transformation & Shared Services. A whopping $1,429.22 was spent on special tablecloths ordered through Amazon because ordinary tablecloths just wouldn’t do for the hangdog curmudgeon Sarah’s cash-strapped state. An additional $4,500 was spent on food and beverage so that the attendees could stuff their loser faces with comestibles purchased by much-needed-elsewhere Arkansas state tax dollars.

This misery guts governor needs to resign or be impeached immediately. Arkansas ranks near or at the bottom of all the important metrics, such as education and public services, with an overall ranking of 47 out of 50. The state simply doesn’t have the funds to waste, and it certainly can’t afford to be Sarah’s personal party stash.

But even if Arkansas were California, frivolous abuse of state money ought to be a warning flag of deeper corruption still. We already know from Lecterngate that Sarah is a thief. It just remains for us to find out how big a thief she is.

I don’t think the good people of Arkansas should give her any more chances to embezzle public funds for her own personal pleasure and whims. If she isn’t gone by other means she should be defeated when she runs again in 2026. These recent scandals would make for some very good Democratic opposition campaign ads. And, as ever, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, comrades and friends, stay safe.
