Rachel Maddow just ripped Donald Trump a new one

Last night we noted that esteemed MSNBC host Rachel Maddow had spent much of her show documenting Donald Trump’s worsening mental and psychological faculties, particularly with regard to his Alabama hurricane Sharpie scandal. Even though Trump continued his map antics today, Maddow came after Trump from a very different angle on tonight’s show.

Donald Trump’s worsening poll numbers and collapsing 2020 prospects have left him so desperate to build his border wall, he’s begun illegally pulling funding from everywhere he can find it – including FEMA and the U.S. military. As it turns out, this isn’t just about his wall. Tonight, Maddow highlighted the fact that Trump is trying to seize funds that are supposed to go toward fighting back against Vladimir Putin’s aggression against his neighbors.

In other words, as with just about everything Trump does, his scramble to fund his wall has a breadcrumb trail back to Putin’s interests. Maddow also tied this back to Russia’s recent nuclear accident, which is still shrouded in secrecy, but appears to have at least indirect ties to Trump’s quest to make it easier for Putin to invade other nations.
