There is a feeling of sadness in the air. Do you feel it, my friends? I often do. I do not speak of any core issue. I do speak of the current hostilities that exist right now.

These hostilities have reduced ordinary citizens to angry and hate-spewing mannequins. Individuals who do not know each other make blanket assumptions of things and people they know nothing about.

In observing all the callousness, I am reminded of the seven deadly sins. Some of said sins include pride, envy, wrath, and sloth. It would seem that many are indulging in some or all of these behaviors.

I could list so many examples here. But a good example and the focus of this article is Megyn Kelly.

Kelly, whom I have written about before, has labeled Hunter Biden a criminal in her latest tirade. She is also going after Press Secretary Jen Psaki.

One might ask: why is that? Many might believe it is to align with MAGA. And these people would be correct. But I think there is more to it than that.

When envy enters one’s bloodstream, it can be a difficult thing to combat. Envy is a toxic emotion. It turns one to wickedness and makes one lose their lucidity. I believe this is what is occurring here and not just with Kelly.

I imagine it must be difficult for someone such as Kelly, who was once a force to be reckoned with. Effectively canceled, Kelly has become a jaded and bitter soul, turning on seemingly any Democrat at a moment’s notice. She has attacked her former friend Don Lemon. She has verbally attacked too many women of color to count.

But in another time, Kelly was viewed with awe. She was invited to glossy Hollywood events, written about in glowing terms. How must it feel to see that all slip away?

I am by no means defending Kelly. I think what she has become is despicable. But she does represent a severe and pervasive problem in America. This is the issue of relevancy.

And it seems these days so many want that. They claw their way through social media, desperate to be noticed to have empty attention paid to them to validate their dwindling egos.

I hate to feel sadness in the air. But on certain occasions, amidst the winds of autumn, I do feel something else. That feeling is hope. I want that feeling to expand, to quietly overpower the sadness, bringing tranquility again to all of us.
