Donald Trump spend his New Year’s weekend pushing an incoherent conspiracy theory about Liz Cheney supposedly having destroyed all the evidence that exonerates him in his upcoming criminal trial. The whole thing was nonsense, and gave away that Trump truly has no idea how to approach his trial.

Now Liz Cheney is firing back, tweeting this at Trump: “Seems like someone is starting 2024 hangry. Donald Trump – you and your lawyers have had the J6 [committee] materials (linked below) plus the grand jury info & much more for months. Lying about the evidence in all caps won’t change the facts. A public trial will show it all.”

We’re awarding this round to Liz Cheney. She’s right: Trump’s attorneys already have all the trial evidence through the discovery process, and it’ll all come out at the trial. Trump has nothing and he knows it. He’s simply going to lose and be convicted and sentenced to prison. Bring it on.
