Liz Cheney is quickly becoming the bombshell queen. And today, she dropped another one. “President Trump tried to call a witness in our investigation, a witness you have not yet seen in these hearings.”

“That person declined to answer…instead alerted their lawyer…this committee has supplied that information to the Justice department.” Ah yes, Twitter is now freaking out wondering as we all wonder: WHO IS THE WITNESS?

And I am sure we will find out. But in my mind — the wrong question is being asked. We will all know in good time whom Liz Cheney speaks about. But let’s look at another question. Why WOULD Trump call a witness?

This question begs our attention because it tells us — very simply — something about our insurrectionist.

Trump’s MO has always been — never get his OWN hands dirty. That is why he doesn’t email. He doesn’t do much himself. He gets his marks to do it for him. But not this time. Why not? I believe it is because he’s losing it. He’s scared. He’s VERY scared.

Criminals, when they see their latest grift isn’t working, must move on to another. Trump chose this time to get his hands dirty.

That means — in my opinion — he is feeling desperate. Desperation – — is an albatross — and it can lure one into showing their hand. That is likely what is happening here. In the old days, Trump would have got one of his minions to make the call.

But the minions are shrinking. There are fewer and fewer of them. Trump’s allies have abandoned him, leaving Mr. Insurrectionist desperate and furious. And those two emotions, together, churning in the bloodstream of Trump — might have propelled him to throw caution to the wind.

They always make mistakes — always. We will find out who this witness is. And we will also see a lot more of the swirling fear surrounding the most malevolent man in the world.
