Liz Cheney has had enough of this crap

I’ve always been an avid reader. And one of the first books I read as a child was about the start of the women’s suffrage movement, the right of women everywhere to vote. And that brings me to a new trend going on in our country. It’s not a good one. In fact, it is quite disturbing. This is the trend of misogyny.

I’m sure you’ve noticed it. It is all over the GOP. The casual “joke” by Mr. Kevin McCarthy about hitting Warrior Pelosi with the speaker’s gavel. And, of course, failed human experiment Paul Gosar’s disgusting video regarding AOC.

Women have come too far to put up with this crap. Kevin McCarthy, the man who would be speaker and most likely won’t be, does and says nothing. Like a limp potato, he sits there, seemingly blank, no words come out of his mouth condemning the comments of disrespect and rage that are pouring forth against women.

And one woman has had enough. Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney ripped into McCarthy this week regarding his petrified silence: “It’s a real symbol of his lack of strength, the lack of leadership in our conference right now, and the extent to which he and other leaders seem to have lost their moral compass.”

Well said by Liz. I’d beg to differ on only one thing she said. I do not believe he and others “lost” their moral compass. I believe none of them had it to begin with. It isn’t like McCarthy has ever given a damn about anyone except himself.

As I have said, I would never ever vote for Cheney. But it is nice to see a woman — a smart, fiery one at that — rip little Kevin to pieces. In a just world, Kevin would be kicked out of his job, and Liz Cheney would replace him as Minority leader. That will not happen, but we can use the GOP’s refusal to defend women from threats of hate and violence in the mid-term elections. So there is that.
