As Palmer Report has been pointing out, the effort by Donald Trump to overturn the massive losses he suffered in various states is going nowhere. The Postal Service person in Erie, Pennsylvania who claimed ballot fraud has recanted, proving again that the GOP are the ones engaged in fraud and misdirection when it comes to the elections and voting.

Senator Lindsey Graham admitted that if the voters remain allowed to vote by mail, a Republican presidential candidate will never win again. He is right, and that is the state of the nation. While gerrymandering and other tools have been used like bludgeons to keep some parts of the country red, what we are seeing in some places, like Arizona, Texas and Georgia is the reality.

Trump continues to file frivolous lawsuits in states such as Pennsylvania, claiming that mail in ballot voters and in person voters were treated differently. We have had versions of mail in ballots since 1864, and they have worked. Several states went completely to mail in voting some time ago. No fraud exists.
In court in Montgomery, Pennsylvania, a lawyer for Trump had to concede that he and the administration were slinging nonsense:

“THE COURT: In your petition, which is right before me…you don’t claim that any electors or the Board of the County were guilty of fraud, correct? That’s correct? MR. GOLDSTEIN: Your Honor, accusing people of fraud is a pretty big step….Everybody is coming to this with good faith. The DNC is coming with good faith…We think these were a mistake, but we think they are a fatal mistake, and these ballots ought not be counted. THE COURT: I understand. I am asking you a specific question…. Are you claiming that there is any fraud in connection with these 592 disputed ballots? MR. GOLDSTEIN: To my knowledge at present, no. THE COURT: Are you claiming that there is any undue or improper influence upon the elector with respect to these 592 ballots? MR. GOLDSTEIN: To my knowledge at present, no.”

Game over. Let’s stay calm, get energized for the two Senate runoff races in Georgia, and look forward to President Joe Biden.
