South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, who is reportedly under consideration to be Donald Trump’s “running mate” in his fake 2024 campaign, tried to stage her own coming out party this past week. She did an interview in which she bragged about shooting a young hunting dog because it wasn’t any good at the job, and because she “hated” it.

Kristi Noem is taking a lot of heat for being such an evil, cruel monster – and she deserves it. It may be commonplace for rural Americans to shoot a dog that’s sick or ill instead of taking it to the vet to be put down, but this is something very different.

Noem is straight up admitting that she murdered a healthy dog simply because she didn’t like it. That’s animal cruelty in any part of the country. It’s psychopathic. It’s no different than kicking a dog to death, or a dog fighting ring. It’s horrific. It’s also very, very moronic.

Noem clearly thought that this story was going to endear her to right wing voters and help get her onto the Republican ticket. But she clearly miscalculated by a mile. If she were looking to endear herself to Trump’s base, she’d simply talk about how many guns she owns and how much she loves hunting. But murdering a dog for fun… just wow. Even a number of right wingers are slamming her for it.

In other words, Kristi Noem is a moron. She has zero political savvy at all. She’s such a political moron, she can’t even figure out how to appeal to her own base. All she had to do was say nothing, and she might have ended up on the ticket. But by trying to promote herself, she tanked herself. Dummies only get ahead when they’re self-aware enough to not speak. Noem doesn’t even have that going for her. She’s a monster, alright. But she’s also a moron.
