Kellyanne Conway totally humiliates herself

On a day when America finds itself rocked by one mass shooting carried out by a white supremacist whose rhetoric is closely aligned with that of Donald Trump, and another mass shooting whose details are still being sorted out, Trump has essentially gone AWOL. Instead, some of his surrogates are stepping up to try to explain why the shooting somehow isn’t his fault. Kellyanne Conway is taking things even further in an awful direction.

Instead of merely defending Donald Trump, Kellyanne Conway has decided that it’s everyone else’s fault for daring to call out Donald Trump. She posted this surreal tweet: “We need to come together, America. Finger-pointing, name-calling & screaming with your keyboards is easy, yet… It solves not a single problem, saves not a single life. Working as one to understand depraved evil & to eradicate hate is everyone’s duty. Unity. Let’s do this.”

That would be fine, except Kellyanne works for the guy who’s the most guilty of all of the above, and she routinely and dishonestly goes out of her way to enable him on all of it. Suffice it to say that the tweet didn’t go over particularly well. She ended up with far more (mostly negative) comments than likes.

The replies ranged from “You’re being paid handsomely to sell out your country, Kellyanne” to “You’ve spent that last three years enabling, justifying, and outright lying for an immoral, predatory, racist traitor.” You get the idea. Donald Trump and his surrogates aren’t going to be able to BS their way out of this. Trump is responsible for the El Paso shooting, and so it’s time for him to resign – particularly considering that he’s not even trying to step up and do anything about what’s happening.
