With his failed presidency crumbling and his reelection prospects circling the drain, Donald Trump is trying out a variety of ideas for turning things around. For instance he’s launched a racist attack on a popular black NASCAR driver; it’s not going well for him. He’s also trying to pretend that the minor revisions he’s made to NAFTA are somehow a big deal.

But Trump is trying to make a big deal out of holding a White House signing ceremony, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau now says he’s not interested in attending. He’s citing both the pandemic and Trump’s tariff idiocy.

With a worsening pandemic in the United States and the economy on the verge of collapse, we can’t imagine that anyone cares about Donald Trump’s overhyped trade deal one way or the other.
