At this point every Republican Senator who’s up for reelection in November has decided to sink or swim with Donald Trump. That’s not the brightest strategy, as the toxically unpopular Trump is on track to lose, and he’s in danger of taking the rest of the GOP down with him.

This brings us to Republican Senator John Cornyn. Texas is supposed to be a red state, but Joe Biden’s poll numbers are competitive there. Whether Biden can pick off Texas or not, it means Cornyn is vulnerable. Adding to Cornyn’s problems: Democratic candidate MJ Hegar, an Air Force veteran, is running an upstart campaign.

MJ Hegar called out John Cornyn over his corrupt antics:

First John Cornyn voted against expanding unemployment benefits.

Then he told Texans those same benefits are a "lifeline."

But after lunch with his DC bosses, he called them a "mistake."
