This morning former 2020 presidential candidate and current Senator Kamala Harris made big news by formally endorsing Joe Biden, and announcing that they’ll be holding a campaign rally together in Detroit on Monday night. This is crucial, because the Michigan democratic primary takes place on Tuesday. Now this evening Biden has picked up the endorsement of another one of his former 2020 rivals.

Joe Biden has now been endorsed by John Delaney, who appeared in a number of the early 2020 democratic primary debates before dropping out. Delaney posted this in support of his endorsement:

John Delaney’s endorsement obviously isn’t going to have the kind of impact that Kamala Harris’ endorsement will have. But Delaney managed to get elected to Congress in 2012, 2014, and 2016 before retiring in 2018, meaning he clearly has a lot of fans in his home district in Maryland – and now he’s urging them to vote for Joe Biden. This will come in handy when the Maryland democratic primary contest arrives.
