Jack Smith probably had the Alex Jones – Kenneth Chesebro pipeline even before this new bombshell 1/6 video footage

Earlier this week I said that I still fully expected Special Counsel Jack Smith to bring more criminal charges in his Trump 1/6 probe. For one thing, by all accounts, his grand jury is still ongoing – and that by definition means Smith is working toward more indictments. But even aside from that, Smith’s 1/6 work (thus far) has the dual quality of being both very through in the areas he’s tackled, and very incomplete in other areas. It’s all suggested that the 1/6 charges Smith has brought to date are merely from one segment of his overall 1/6 probe.

To that end, new evidence keeps publicly surfacing that further incriminates various 1/6 figures who haven’t yet been indicted by Jack Smith. Earlier this week the media got ahold of a video which captured Roger Stone plotting to overthrow the 2020 election before it even happened. And on Friday CNN reported on new footage showing Kenneth Chesebro following Alex Jones around the Capitol grounds on January 6th.

Given how thorough Jack Smith is being in his investigation, it’s likely that he already knew about these two pieces of evidence long before the media got ahold of them. Even if he didn’t already have them, he does now. Moreover, both these pieces of evidence appear to dovetail with what Smith appears to be currently working on.

For instance, it’s long been documented that Trump world’s conduit to the January 6th attack was a “command center” at the Willard Hotel. For all the progress it made in other areas, the January 6th Committee reportedly couldn’t get anyone involved with that command center to crack and give up what really went on inside that room. But about a month ago it was reported that Jack Smith was making breakthroughs in investigating that “command center.” That same week it was separately reported that Alex Jones’ sidekick Owen Shroyer, who was in that command center, had cut a cooperating plea deal with Jack Smith’s DOJ. Since that time Jack Smith has reportedly done an interview with Bernard Kerik, who was also in that command center.

Then there’s this footage of Kenneth Chesebro and Alex Jones on January 6th. Chesebro, you’ll recall, is one of the six co-conspirators listed in the Trump 1/6 indictment, meaning Jack Smith is already all over the guy. And now it appears that Chesebro may have been the primary conduit between Trump world and the Capitol attack. When you throw in the fact that Jack Smith has had Alex Jones’ sidekick cooperating for the past month, it’s not difficult to imagine that Smith is already well into the process of piecing this stuff together and bringing these indictments.

None of this means that these people are getting indicted tomorrow or the next day. It doesn’t even guarantee that any particular person will get indicted at all. Just because someone appears to be obviously guilty in video footage, that’s not always the same as there being enough evidence to get a conviction against that person. But even coming into this week, it already appeared that Jack Smith was on his way to indicting people like Roger Stone, Kenneth Chesebro, and Alex Jones. Here at the end of the week, it now seems even more likely that this is the case.
