On MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe”, Joe Scarborough said Republicans are “quietly panicking” over their terrible chances in 2024. He pointed to the new poll numbers showing Americans turning away from Trump and said Republicans are losing their minds over this.

I do not blame them. I mean — 64 percent of Americans saying no way to voting for Donald Trump? I’d panic too. And Scarborough said he’s seen some Republicans tweeting that this news is “devastating” for Republicans.

I do not have a sliver of sympathy. Hey Republicans — this is what you wanted. So this is what you got.

“The majority believe what he did was illegal,” Joe said.

“Independents breaking dramatically away.”

“Independents saying he should have been indicted.”

Republicans, republicans, what did you expect? Of COURSE, people think your party is a joke. Newsflash — they have thought this for a long time now. Are you JUST NOW getting the memo?

“Only 15 percent of Americans, let’s underline this, agree with Donald Trump that he did nothing wrong,” Scarborough said.

None of this is a surprise. Remember the January 6 investigations? As more was exposed, Trump’s poll numbers started to go down. The only question I have of Republicans’ panic is — what took them so long?

Republicans can try to deflect and distract all they want with fake Hunter Biden’s investigations and by smearing President Biden, but it won’t do them any good. The American people see the truth — that the front-runner for the GOP nomination is an infant. So now, what are you going to do about it, Republicans?
