Has anybody ever seen anything like Georgia Republican Senatorial candidate Herschel Walker? The man appears to live in a world of his own, and it isn’t a world very many people seem to understand.

Walker is choosing to skip a debate with Senator Raphael Warnock. It was to be held on October 13 in Macon, Georgia. But it is perhaps his REASON for skipping the debate that is causing eyebrows to be raised. To put it bluntly — nobody knows exactly why he won’t debate because Walker offered an explanation that does not make any sense.

“I’m not going to respond to anything because you know that’s not a debate, and you know that,” he explained. No, we don’t know that. In fact, I will ask the candidate straight out: What the heck are you talking about?

It appears Walker doesn’t know the answer to that question himself. Here’s more of what he had to say: “You’ve got people that are contributors to his campaign, and it’s in this room that only two people gonna see it on a Sunday night, I think.”

WHAT? Perhaps Stephen King can help decipher the code. After all, King has written about the most frightening of people. Nobody writes scary better than King. And Herschel Walker is scary. He’s scary because he seems to exist in a kind of pseudo hypnosis that makes no sense to anybody but him.

More from the Shakespeare Connoisseur: “NFL, Football, I am giving you an opportunity to be statewide so everybody can see what it is, see the contrast between the two of us. I don’t know how you can ask for anything better.”

Do you feel, my friends, like you just ran a marathon? Do you feel mentally exhausted, twisting yourself into pretzel trying your best to understand what the man is talking about? If so, do not fear. You’re definitely not alone.

And before I end this article, a word to Walker — the debate is not on a Sunday. It’s on a Thursday. Not that this fact is likely to change his mind. And maybe that’s for the best. At least Senator Warnock will be able to keep his sanity.
