It’s not surprising that Trump’s other lawyers are now bashing Joe Tacopina to the media. Trump’s lawyers all know they can’t do anything to save Trump. They know he’s going to end up firing them all one by one out of frustration. And they each want to be the last one to get fired.

The more powerless Trump has become, the more his narcissism has compelled him to surround himself with people who are competing for his affection. So his own lawyers are busy trying to take each other down so they can be his favorite, instead of working together to save him.

Trump told his lawyers to save him from being indicted. That’s not a real thing, so instead they just told him he wouldn’t be indicted. Now they need a scapegoat. Tacopina has screwed up on TV a couple times now, so the others are trying to convince Trump it’s Tacopina’s fault.

Narcissists like to surround each other with friends who try to take each other out while competing for the narcissist’s affections.

But Trump has surrounded himself with these kinds of criminal defense attorneys. That points to a combination of narcissism and senility.

Although Trump is clearly slipping of late, his approach to his criminal scandals was always this ineffective. He just held an office that made it impossible for him to be indicted. But at no point were any of his antics helping him. Now everyone can see that he’s never been any good at this.

For four years we had to listen to the entire media and pundit class tell us that this man’s stupid tweets and limpdick antics were some fiendishly clever strategy that we just weren’t smart enough to understand. And it was all just ineffective bluster. Now everyone can finally see Trump was never three steps ahead of us. He was only ever flailing.
