Gym Jordan
One of my least favorite people in Congress is none other than America’s screamer, Gym Jordan. There are lots of reasons to dislike Gym. What he is alleged to have done — turning away from students who were abused when he was supposed to be protecting them is one reason.
The other thing is that Gym Jordan is one of politic’s most prolific liars. Gym lies shamelessly. He lies often, and he lies with deliberation. His sole purpose in Congress seems to be lying. So yes, I think I’ve made the case well for disliking Gym.
This week, on Fox non-news, Gym revealed that he’d be perfectly fine shutting down the government. But in true Gym fashion, he tried to say it was what the American people wanted. Fox Non-news host Maria Bartiromo asked: “So you’re willing to take this to the mat and allow the Government to shut down?”
“Take this to the mat.” How quaint. The only thing Gym did on the mat in his sports days, was turn his back on humanity. Gym indicated to the Fox host that he would shut down the government if it came to that. “I think we have to,” Gym answered. “Because I think that’s what the American people demand.”
I must pause here. Politicians — some of them anyway — lie. Some lie an awful lot. One of the most despicable TYPES of lies, in my opinion, is using the American people to spit out one’s lie. Let’s consider Gym’s words. I also have a question for all readers. Do you know anyone — even one person — who says: “For the start of 2024, I want the Government shut down. I demand it!”
Now, there are a few people who might like this idea. Those people are the extreme Maga sheep, the dutiful lambs who always agree with whatever Trump or one of his sycophants says. Gym tried to explain that people want it shut down because of the border.
Right. The bottom line is it is the Republicans who want to shut down the government to cause chaos. Most in the GOP do not give a damn about the border. One Republican even said so, as I wrote in another article.
This dehumanization — treating the American people as if they’re stupid is infuriating. The GOP seems to think so little of their voters that they make statements such as this.
I do not believe the government will shut down, but that isn’t the point. In reality, this situation is not six of one, half a dozen of the other. The government staying open means nobody loses their pay. It means that food can be on the table for families and that people can awaken knowing they will work that day.
But trust a screaming, brain-dead former wrestler with an IQ that’s pint-sized to be impervious to the consequences of a government shutdown. When we win back the House, one of the biggest pleasures will be seeing Gym Jordan in the minority. That day can’t come quickly enough for me.
