Give Joe Biden some credit for this

I had the displeasure in recent days to read an article about President Biden and the Democrats. This was an article that could have been titled “The 2022 elections are over, and Democrats have lost everything.” I won’t name the article since I do not want to give them any free press. However, I must comment on aspects of it.

The whole article was about why Democrats are in peril, what we’ve done wrong, and how President Biden deserves much of the blame. One part of the article that made me squint in disbelief was the comparison of Democrats to “a man lost at sea who finally decides to quench his thirst by drinking salt water.” Nice analogy! Wrong analogy!

I disagree vehemently with this analogy. I’d say the Democrats are like a free-flowing, bubbling waterfall trying valiantly to complete its journey and keep the rough and jagged stones from doing too much damage.

The stones are the media, of course. I just cannot put into words how much damage these types of articles do. What is their purpose? What is the POINT? It is my opinion that we have so much to be proud of – so much to celebrate. But articles like this do not do the Democratic party justice. It is being said that inflation is starting to peak, which is undoubtedly good news for us.

But once it does, some in the media will move on to some other negative-Nellie story. It’s maddening. Pushing back is what we need to do, including turning off pundits who do this, emailing them with feedback, and spreading the message of President Biden’s accomplishments.

Heck, if you are on Twitter, make your pinned tweet a thank you to President Biden. Let’s get some GOOD news trending. We have our issues, yes, but Biden has, so far, been a remarkable President. And we need to spread the word.
