Fox News implodes after House Republicans cave on shutdown threat

House Republicans spent a month insisting they were going to shut down the government no matter what. But they were always likely to cave and pass a continuing resolution, because their side simply doesn’t have the votes for a shutdown. They didn’t back in May, and nothing has changed since.

Suffice it to say that the House sedition caucus has egg on its face after once again failing to shut the government down. To that end, Fox News appears to be too embarrassed to even want to cover the story. These were actual chyrons on Fox News after the budget deal was reached:


So that speaks for itself. This is such a catastrophic failure for the Republican Party, its mouthpieces on Fox News are literally talking about 300 pound pigs instead.
