Donald Trump’s deterioration is accelerating

Months ago Donald Trump made headlines when he praised the notorious fictional cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lecter. Not too long after that, Trump’s handlers began canceling most of his public speeches, citing everything from budget issues to the wind as excuses. Now that Trump’s handlers have finally let him hold a rally, he’s once again praising Hannibal Lecter, but he now appears to believe Lecter is a real person.

It’s just one of too many examples to count when it comes to how badly Trump’s dementia symptoms are advancing, both in terms of frequency and severity. Trump is frequently getting people confused for each other, while combining people like Nancy Pelosi and Nikki Haley into the same person in his mind. His brain is trying to compensate and rewrite things to account for the increasingly large holes in his memory, but at this point the holes are bigger than the remaining memories.

Two psychologists have now started a podcast dedicated solely to tracking Donald Trump’s ongoing cognitive deterioration. Their assessment is that Trump’s “deterioration is accelerating.” There’s also this crucial point: “Look at Donald Trump right now, because that’s the best Donald Trump you’re ever going to see because dementia is a deteriorating illness.” Check it out here.
