Donald Trump just lost in court AGAIN

Last night Donald Trump falsely announced that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg was looking at dismissing the criminal charges against him. This isn’t the first time Trump has made this false claim; he also did it right before Bragg criminally indicted him. So this felt like Trump’s handlers were feeding him phony good news because of how close he now is to being convicted on those charges.

But now it turns out something has been dismissed: Trump’s ethics complaint about the judge in his New York criminal case. It’s a timely reminder that the only realistic way to stall a criminal trial is well before it has the chance to get underway. Once you get close to the trial date, and once the trial is underway, stall tactics don’t work.

This will be important to keep in mind as we get closer to Trump’s other criminal trials. The closer we get, the harder it’ll be for Trump to make any headway in trying to delay things.
