Donald Trump just lost big in court AGAIN

There’s only one thing Donald Trump has ever been good at, and that’s losing. In years past he managed to turn losing into an art form, whether it was through strategic bankruptcies or electoral college shenanigans. Trump seemed to know how to come out on top by losing.

But that was a long time ago. Donald Trump is much less than he used to be in the cognitive sense. And for the first time in his miserable life he’s being forced to play the kinds of games that he doesn’t know how to win, or win by losing. Trump has no idea how to keep his criminal trials from happening. And he has no idea how to salvage anything from all these civil trials he keeps losing.

To that end, when Trump lost a whopping $83.3 million to E. Jean Carroll, it was a good reminder that he really doesn’t have the ability to delay trials or to keep them from reaching a verdict against him. Trump then filed for a mistrial, and today the courts told him that he wasn’t getting one. Yes, Trump found a way to lose in court yet again today.

Trump can keep making these kinds of filings, but they don’t actually do anything. They’re not delaying any verdicts. They’re not delaying any payouts. They’re not setting up some kind of appeal or delay-by-appeal strategy. This is all just pointless nonsense. It’s how Trump deludes himself into believing that he’s still in the game and still has a chance for a positive outcome. But in reality he’s just flailing around while he continues to lose everything.
