Donald Trump has spent much of his criminal trial either definitively asleep or looking like he’s asleep, a reminder that he’s so deep into cognitive decline that he can’t even keep track of what’s going on or why he should stay awake for it. Trump is now coming off three days’ rest, during which he did none of the campaigning that he claimed the trial was getting in the way of. So what does a rested Trump look like?

George Conway was in the courtroom today, and he tweeted that at one point Trump angrily glared at him, prompting Conway to smile back at him. So Trump appears to be able to recognize people like Conway, if nothing else.

But others in the courtroom are reporting that Trump once again appears to be dozing off. So even if Trump is able to periodically wake up, recognize someone he hates, and shoot them a dirty look, he’s then losing track of what’s going on and going back to sleep.
