Donald Trump is “confused”

Dear readers, we've just launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our PayPal Page or our GoFundMe Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

Sociopaths can’t feel empathy. These people do not have consciences. And because the conscience — so important in the makeup of a human being — is missing, absence prevents these people from experiencing much in life.

They can’t love. They can’t empathize. Think of them as aliens in their own skin — human robots cast adrift watching others and mechanically parroting their words back to them. There is a giant void where the conscience should be. So sociopaths are different than the average person. But there are different TYPES of sociopaths. One type is the sadistic sociopath.

These people enjoy human pain. They get off on suffering. Where others would turn away in disgust, these people lean forward into the chaos wanting, more, more, more of it. I am not a psychologist. But I have often thought that Donald Trump just might be one of these people.

Of course, I don’t know. But he certainly has many of the personality traits that make up these people. And with the story from The Daily Beast, it only makes me that much more convinced.

Per the Beast, Trump was reportedly “confused” and puzzled as to why others around him weren’t enjoying the insurrection like he was. Reportedly, in fact,Trump enjoyed the destruction so much that he rewound certain parts just so he could savor certain moments. Nothing like a bit of torture and death to make a sociopath take notice.

Now you might ask yourself why anybody could possibly ENJOY what was going on. But the question is unanswerable. Only a sociopath could. And because the majority of people in the world are not sociopaths, the majority found the day abhorrent.

According to the Daily Beast, Retired Lt. General Keith Kellogg told the January 6 committee this as well as telling them that Trump’s staff begged him to say something and take action against the insurrectionists.

Trump did not appear to want to do that. In closing — ask yourselves — who could behave that way other than a sociopath? Who could not only enjoy the depravity but want to see more of it? The answer is a sociopath — a sadistic sociopath of the most toxic kind.
