As it becomes more clear that Donald Trump is going to prison, his cognitive abilities have been collapsing under the pressure, to put it mildly. These days Trump can’t make it through a public appearance without saying something that’s completely senile or completely insane.

Today Trump managed to do both things in the same breath, when he compared himself to Nelson Mandela while explaining why he doesn’t mind going to prison:

So now we know a few things. First, Donald Trump is fully aware that he’s going to prison. Second, his handlers have broken this news to him by convincing him that going to prison will make him the next Nelson Mandela.

Third, Trump is so far gone, he can’t put together that Mandela went to prison as a young man and then took office as an older man. Trump is an old man going to prison and never getting out.
