Bad news for the QAnon Shaman
The QAnon shaman’s lawyer, Albert Watkins, just said the quiet part out loud. Speaking of the MAGAt’s that invaded the Capitol January 6th, he basically said they were on the autism spectrum and completely blinded by the propaganda being spewed at them, “not seen since f*cking Hitler.” Well, he’s not wrong. And is Trump responsible? Absolutely. But so is Fox News, right wing talk radio and other garbage sites.
The only remedy for this situation is the truth and lots of it. The Jan 6th Commission needs to be set up ASAP and damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead. Compromise is the sign of a civilized people, but now is not the time to make the suspected conspirators in Congress happy with the commission. Instead, it must immediately hold people to account. It needs to dig into the truth, make it public and amplify it until we’re all sick of hearing about it.
Republicans in office have done terrible damage to our country. They have lied and corruptly grabbed power for way too long. It’s time to call a spade a spade. Sing it loud and up to the mountains. The Republican party is a corrupt and greedy fascist organization that has no part in our country. Conservatives need to decide to follow the angels of their better nature and form a party that can contribute to the country and to the world. Otherwise, the US needs to show them the door. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
