It’s long been widely believed that many of Donald Trump’s social media posts are actually made by a longtime aide named Dan Scavino. Trump clearly lacks the technical skills to do things like uploading and embedding videos. And really, does anyone think that Trump even knows how to so much as type?

As Trump’s cognitive abilities have collapsed in recent months, there have been questions about how much or little involvement Trump might have in any of his own social media posts. Now, on the eve of Trump’s first criminal trial, he’s flat out admitting that Scavino has full access to his social media accounts. But it gets stranger:
.

.
Why on earth is Trump suddenly bringing up the scenario, out of nowhere, in which Dan Scavino would be posting inappropriate things to social media in Trump’s name? For one thing, what kind of presidential candidate flat out admits that someone else controls his social media account? And why is Trump specifically suggesting that Scavino might post sexually inappropriate content to Trump’s account?

Some will say Trump was merely trying to make a light hearted joke, but remember, Trump has no sense of humor. So is this a matter of Trump merely going on yet another incoherently senile bender? Or is Trump trying to preemptively scapegoat Scavino for something? There’s got to be more to this.
