New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil case against Donald Trump and the Trump Organization isn’t set to go to trial until next week, but today the judge in the case ruled that Trump is indeed liable for fraud.

This is a remarkable development. It essentially means that Trump has now already lost the trial before it even begins, and all that’s left to be determined during the trial is the severity of the penalties.

Letitia James is seeking $250 million or more in financial penalties, which would likely result in the seizure of assets, the bankrupting of Donald Trump, and the end of the Trump Organization.

The judge is also ordering the revocation of Donald Trump’s business licenses in New York, meaning all of his existing businesses in the state are due to be shut down and dissolved.
