Looks like Donald Trump attorney Alina Habba just left the building
Donald Trump’s current and former attorneys keep taking it on the chin of late. Multiple Trump attorneys ended up having to testify against him to the grand jury in his classified documents scandal. Former Trump attorneys including Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell are reportedly targets of Jack Smith. And we’ve lost track of how many of his most recent attorneys have been ousted or just plain quit. Now we can add another one to the list.
Alina Habba, who has been representing Donald Trump in various investigations for awhile now, has quit representing him. Instead she’ll now serve as the general counsel for a Trump PAC. This whole thing is frankly just kind of weird.
No reason is being given for why Alina Habba is quitting and/or being fired from representing Donald Trump. Clearly Trump is trying to find a way to keep her loyal by giving her another job, which she appears to have accepted. But what’s really prompting this? Our guess is that another shoe of some kind is about to drop within days, and that Trump and Habba are just trying to get out ahead of it.
