Have you ever, dear readers, had a pet? Animals are sunshine in our lives. For many of us, pets are members of our own family. I know that is the way it is for me. And we all suffer when our pets are in harm’s way. I personally said goodbye to my beloved cat, my ray of sunshine, Elvis just this week.

Animals — our pets and the ones in the outdoors — the sea, the skies, the forests — are as much part of humanity as anyone. And so we must thank President Biden — and the Biden administration.

Biden has put the finishing touches on a rule. This rule revises Trump’s evilness in letting our wildlife go unprotected. Biden has now finalized a rule reversing that and giving our government the ability to once again protect our beloved animal life.

Trump had severely limited protections for “critical habitats” for certain endangered species. You see, under Trump’s rules, there was a tight limit on the definition of “endangered species.”

It was limited to where the species CURRENTLY live but would not protect anywhere that could EVENTUALLY or SOMEDAY see endangered species living. This has now been reversed. The assistant secretary of Fish and Wildlife had this to say: “The growing extinction crisis highlights the importance of the Endangered Species Act and efforts to conserve species before declines become irreversible.”

This story has received NO attention from mainstream media, and it’s a tragedy. This will save lives — animal lives. Many thanks to the Biden administration for doing this. The lives and rights of ALL animals matter. And with the Biden administration, it seems they think so too.
