So much for that “messaging problem”

The House has already passed Roe v. Wade into law. To also pass it in the Senate we’d need to expand our majority by two seats in order to work around Manchin and Sinema and exempt it from the filibuster. So that’s our marching orders for midterms: flip at least two Senate seats while holding onto the House.

Yes, we can do this. But will we put in the work required to do it? We’ve had to listen to pundits kvetching for a year about how the Democrats supposedly didn’t have a midterm message. Well, that seems irrelevant now. The average American is about to have a very clear picture about which party stands for what, and what’s at stake.

There never was a “messaging problem” to begin with, but now we don’t have to worry about it. The midterms will come down to turnout, turnout, and turnout. It’s not enough for those of you reading this to vote; you were going to do that anyway. It’s about each of you convincing ten other people around you, who aren’t politically enthusiastic like you are, but who are inclined to vote for Democrats when they do vote, to actually go out and vote. Let’s do this. We owe it to those being impacted by this lunacy.
