This is a joke
Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he’ll no longer be throwing out the first pitch at a New York Yankees game on August 15th, citing the number of meetings he has scheduled that day. Palmer Report pointed out that Trump was rather obviously canceling because he knew most or all the of players would take a knee, or something along those lines.
Now former federal prosecutor Daniel Goldman is pointing out just how much of a joke Donald Trump’s excuse is:
August 15 is a Saturday three weeks from now. I’d bet a wall on our southern border that Trump plays golf that day in Bedminster, NJ, not far from Yankee Stadium, and does not currently have any scheduled meetings that day. https://t.co/pLxrbKarGX
