Donald Trump’s botched handling of the coronavirus crisis, and the resulting economic and political fallout, has truly backed him into a corner. Now he’s trying to keep his racist base from abandoning him, by suddenly referring to the coronavirus as the “Chinese Virus.”

If you’re wondering, the vast majority of Asian Americans voted against Donald Trump in 2016, so he probably figures it’s not going to cost him politically in 2020 anyway. But in reality, there plenty of other Americans who find this kind of rhetoric just as disgusting.
